The reference biologic is the already authorized medicine against which a biosimilar is compared. Health Canada evaluates similarity before authorizing the biosimilar.
The name on your prescription
To arrange your visit, provide the exact name on your prescription. Do not change products on your own: discuss any proposed switch with your prescriber or pharmacist.
